    POSITION:  Electrical Engineer    
   
Sidock Group, Inc. is a full service engineering, architectural, consulting and project management organization serving industrial, commercial and municipal clients. We currently have an opening for an Electrical Engineer in our Muskegon, Michigan office. The individual will report to the Electrical Project Manager, and be responsible for the design, assembly and commissioning of electrical systems in a very broad spectrum of projects in nearly every industry. The successful candidate will gain a wealth of experience in the electrical engineering field. Qualifications:

  • BSEE degree
  • Hands-on experience with PLC’s, HMI/SCADA, drives, AutoCAD
  • Strong PC skills, MS Office Suite including MS Excel, Internet
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interface with people on all levels
  • Strong work ethic
  • 2-5 years experience

Responsibilities:

  • Design of control systems, power distribution, instrumentation and lighting in support of client projects using a wide variety of electrical equipment
  • Generate schematic diagrams and other electrical documentation
  • Programming of PLC’s, DCS, HMI/SCADA, drives, robots, CNC, etc.
  • Purchase materials, panel assembly, commissioning
  • Check-out, start-up, troubleshooting services
  • Project cost estimating
  • Domestic travel as necessary, typically limited

Additional Considerations:

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley controls and drives
  • Experience with instrumentation, multiple control vendors
  • Experience with machine controls, robots, CNC, and troubleshooting
  • Strengths and experience in a particular industry, such as paper, steel, pharmaceutical, plastics, chemical, etc.
